Identify, or self-image

Identity or self-image is how you see yourself. 

Self-image is like a chain; it limits how far you can go. 

Like a wild dog on a leash that can't go further than the chain alllows him, so is low self-esteem;

it limits a person's potential. It affects their perspective and, many times hinders them form being used by God. 

 

Insecure people often look to marriage to heal their inferiority complex. 

Romantic relationships are their last hope to cure their low self-esteem. 

No matter how much love, gifts, and attention you give them, it's never enough. 

 

Your identity must be anchored in God before getting into marriage. 

 

God formed Adam. 

Unlike all other creation which God created by speaking into existence, God was physically involved in creating Adam from the dust. So did God form you. 

You were created form the touch of God; therefore, it is His touch that you will always crave. 

There will always be a deep longing in your heart for God's touch, because He formed you with His hands. 

 

God created Adam in His image and likeness. 

Man bears the imprint of God. 

That's why the devil hates you, because you remind him of God. 

When God made vegetation and animals, He made them all "after it's/their kind", the phrase occurs ten times in Genesis 1:11-25. 

When He created Adam, He made him after the God-kind. 

 

STOP DETERMINING YOUR WORTH FROM HOW OTHERS PERCEIVE YOU. 

YOU CARRY THE IMAGE OF GOD IN YOU; therefore, YOUR VALUE IS SET BY HIM. 

 

Just like God blessed Adam, when you discover your identity, you will realize it's already blessed by God. 

In your identify, you are blessed. 

It means you are empowered to grow and expand. 

 

GOD saw all that He had made and said that it was very good. 

You need to hear that personally, right now, from GOD. 

YOU ARE VERY GOOD!

GOD did not make a mistake creating you the way you are. 

You are HIS masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully made. 

You are GOD'S BEST CREATION. 

HE DELIGHTS IN YOU. 

 

If this is not enough to blow low self-esteem out of the water, then nothing will ever be enough to remove insecurity. 

RENEW YOUR MIND. 

RECEIVE WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT YOU - THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE. 

Everything else you see and feel are simply facts. 

REMEMBER THAT FACTS CHANGE, BUT THE TRUTH IS ETERNAL. 

 

 

예레미야 1:5

내가 너를 뱃속에 짓기 전에 너를 알았고 네가 모태에서 나오기 전에 너를 거룩히 구별하였으며 

(Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart)

 

벧전 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 

 

'나'라는 사람이 어떤 사람인지, 자신에 대한 자아상을 바르게 깨닫는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 

그래야 흔들리지 않는 삶을 살아갈 수 있으며 진정으로 성장하는 삶을 살 수 있다. 

 

하나님께서는 내가 태어나기도 전에 나에 대해 아셨으며

나를 지으심에 있어 한치의 실수도 없으셨다. 

그가 나를 보고 좋다고 하셨다. 

하나님께서 인정하신 존재인데 그 누구의 인정을 바라고 그것에 목말라 한다 말인가?

 

내 삶의 관객은 하나님 뿐임을 깨닫자. 

내가 누구인지를 다른 사람이 정의하도록 허용하지 않을 것이다. 

그렇게 하면 난 그들을 우상으로 섬길 뿐 아니라 그들의 노예로 예속되고 말 것이다.
